Axeman will be please to know that Neville Anning, and his brother, of Peachester (N.C. Line) have been discharged from the Army after four years as prisoners of war in Japanese hands. Both boys have improved in health since, and Neville expects to take part in this year’s wood chopping at the Brisbane Royal Show. Geo. Head, of Coopers Plains, Brisbane, a well-known axeman, has been discharged from the Army. He spent the last four years in New Guinea as a jungle fighter.
